Save the last dance

On Friday night I'm going to a Formal Ball in the Ocean View township we work in! It's going to be.. interesting! Lots of bling! I think I'll have to knock out my front teeth and put in gold replacements.

I'm also going on church camp this weekend, figured it'd be a good jump start to get to know the people and start getting involved. There's absolutely no one in my age group everyone is 35 and older or 16 and younger. But if I was there for the young crowd I would have gone to other places.

Last weekend I had fun, pizza, rock climbing, photo's jungle gyms, and home baked choc chip cookies. I pizza at a friends house with his wife and kids! It was SO fun playing with their kids, they were the one's who had caught a chameleon that day, so I went over the next day and took photo's and then took their kids to the park. I spent so much time hanging from the monkey bars and reliving the days. I kept racing his 6year old daughter and SHE BEAT ME several times! BRAT! Ha!

I also invited a family from church over to my flat on Sunday to have choc chip cookies that I had baked the night before! Nice BIG one's, with bournville chocolate inside. YUM!

It's cold and rainy here and even hailed this morning. Brrr....
Here are some of the pics I took this weekend, well, one was of me not by me.

This is especially for you Moo!

Big bellies ...

These pics were taken by Bean last night. Pixel is nearly 6 months here so only 3 months to go give or take. As you can guess my clothes are getting a wee bit tight and I have been seen lurking in the maternity sections of clothing stores trying to picture myself in the absolutely horrid outfits they think pregnant women suddenly find appealing. Funny thing is, everyone seems to think I am "small" for my due date. I don't feel small. Not quite whale-like yet but getting there. Emil finds it quite amusing and checks every morning to see if my belly button has popped out.

Things that go bump in the night ...

Pixel moves around a lot now and its great fun to watch my belly as Pixel bumps around. If there's one reason I hope Pixel is late is so that you can feel him/her moving - its weird having a living being tickling your rib cage.

Hope you get a good chuckle out of the photos!

technilogically challenged!

Thaught I'd already added a blog. Apparently not...I'm lost with this stuff!
So Moo where was all this snow?
Bean

NSRI and snow

So the two big things that happened to me just recently was one, having my first PROPER snow experience! and two, the NSRI experience! Both very humbling experiences. We have been invited to the NSRI base in Hout Bay for a beer and a laugh, me and my new flatmate Kate decided, what the heck, lets just do it, what more do we have to lose? All pride is gone! HA!

So I've added some pics of my snow encounter! It was amazing! I did everything you could possibly do in snow. I jumped in it, I threw it, I ate in, I made snow angels, I dived in it, I rolled in it, I stomped in it, I made icecreams, I made snow men, I made big Giant Snow Balls, I carried it! I did everything! It was incredible! I felt sick from all the running around (and altitude) but it was worth it! Can't wait to see snow again! We might try shoot through if more snow comes.

The beginning!

Hey sisters,

Being far from home and also having lives that are so busy I had the idea to start a blog for us three to keep in touch with what's happening in our lives. It's a place to mention the small day to day, week to week happenings that even include random sharings like, Martin phoned, or I read this book called... or I watched a movie, stayed at home, I feel sad because... or I really enjoyed my run... whatever! It'll be like a Rapson girls diary. Ie it doesn't have to be the big list of 'what I did' cos it's the small things that I think would be fun to read. As if we're having a cup of tea together! You can also put pics up etc.

What do you think? I reckon we can all fit in a blog once a week or so. If we do it frequently it won't be like a big catch up session but a small comment or addition here and there.

Love you lots like Jelly TOTS!

MOO
